EXTERNAL EVENT

Engaging EU Projects Using the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF)

20 November 2025 09:00 – 21 November 2025 17:00

ENISA, in collaboration with the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) projects NERO, CyberSynchrony, and CyberSecPro, is pleased to invite EU-funded projects and stakeholders to a dedicated workshop focused on enhancing collaboration and raising visibility around the implementation of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF).

The event will take place in Brussels on 20–21 November 2025, with a limited capacity of 50–70 participants to ensure meaningful engagement and interaction.

🔍 Why This Workshop?

The ECSF has been recognised by the European Commission as the reference framework for cybersecurity skills across the EU. Aligning educational, training, and workforce development initiatives with the ECSF enables a shared understanding of cybersecurity roles, helps bridge the talent gap, and supports the development of a stronger cybersecurity skills ecosystem across Europe.

As more initiatives adopt the ECSF, there is growing value - but also a growing need -for visibility, alignment, and strategic collaboration across projects. This workshop aims to meet that need.

🎯 Workshop Objectives

Participants will:

  • Showcase ECSF implementations in diverse contexts (education, workforce development, national programmes).
  • Exchange lessons learned and best practices with peers.
  • Highlight barriers, achievements, and milestones in ECSF adoption.
  • Strengthen cross-project collaboration to maximise impact and resource efficiency.
  • Inform policy development by identifying skills gaps, needs, and future priorities.
  • Shape the evolution of the ECSF through real-world feedback and proposals.

🧩 Who Should Attend?

  • This event welcomes all EU-supported projects and initiatives that use, plan to use, or align with the ECSF. Relevant areas include:
  • Cybersecurity education and professional training
  • Workforce development and capacity building
  • Skills assessment and certification
  • Cybersecurity tools and pedagogical approaches

🗣 Contribute to the Programme

A call for speaking opportunities has been launched by ENISA. Participating projects will be able to present their work, share implementation experiences, and contribute to focused discussions that will directly inform ECSF updates and EU policy planning.

More info on the opening call for speakers can be found here.
