DEP UPTAKE Post-event news

On 19 September 2024, NERO participated in the CYSSME project’s Second Project Gathering for DEP Uptake, a collaborative event designed to enhance synergy among 25 leading cybersecurity initiatives within the DIGITAL-ECCC-2022-CYBER-03-UPTAKE-CYBERSOLUTIONS and DIGITAL-ECCC-2022-CYBER-B-03-UPTAKE-CYBERSOLUTIONS programs.

As an advanced Cybersecurity Ecosystem, NERO focuses on critical elements of cybersecurity awareness, training, and education through five integrated frameworks, providing a comprehensive and customised Cybersecurity Awareness program. The primary goal of NERO is to facilitate the market uptake and dissemination of innovative cybersecurity solutions, particularly for SMEs, while enhancing knowledge and auditing of cybersecurity preparedness resulting from publicly funded research in the EU.

During the event, Wissam Mallouli from Montimage delivered an engaging presentation that highlighted NERO's latest updates, key use cases, and best practices. His insights were complemented by contributions from other notable cybersecurity projects, including CYBERSTAND.eu, CyberSuite, PHACKS, and CRACoWi projects.

Wissam's presentation highlighted NERO’s contributions to cybersecurity innovation while actively engaging project coordinators and partners, encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange. Following his presentation, he participated in a dynamic 10-15 minute Q&A session, discussing immediate joint interests and exploring potential areas for collaboration.

"Our participation in the DEP Uptake Gathering is vital as it allows us to share our advancements and learn from others in the field,” said Wissam. “Collaboration is key to driving impactful cybersecurity solutions."

The gathering underscored the importance of collaboration, communication, and the exchange of complementary solutions among participating projects, paving the way for future partnerships. The next project gathering is scheduled for December 2024, promising continued collaboration and innovation in the cybersecurity landscape.
