NERO Team Took Part in Convergence 2025: Advancing Skills for the Digital Economy

The NERO team proudly took part in Convergence 2025, the flagship annual event organised by Trust in Digital Life (TDL), which took place on 30 October 2025 in Brussels under the theme “Everything, Everywhere AI at Once.”
The event brought together experts from research, industry, and policy to explore Europe’s digital transformation — focusing on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital trust.
Representing the NERO Project, Wissam Mallouli, Chief Technology Officer at Montimage EURL, joined a distinguished lineup of speakers in the “Skills for the Digital Economy” session. He shared valuable insights on how emerging AI and cybersecurity technologies are shaping the future workforce and skill demands across Europe.
He was joined by notable experts, including:
- Marc Vael, Chief Digital Trust Officer at Esko Trust Center & President of SAI.BE
- Spiros Borotis, Senior Product Manager/Analyst at Gruppo Maggioli
- Vanessa Lewis, Vice President of Recruitment at Nexova Group
The session was moderated by Professor Christos Douligeris from the University of Piraeus Research Centre, ensuring a dynamic exchange between academia, industry, and policymakers.
