The conference, on its 14th edition, features a series of plenary speakers by prominent thought leaders and experts from a variety of industries, ready to share their insights, experiences, and expertise on the latest trends and developments in Global Engineering Education. This year the focus is on very current topics such as Metaverse, AI and Knowledge Graphs.

NERO Cybersecurity at the Cybersecurity Training Modules Sessions

Adding to the anticipation, NERO will be taking part in several "Cybersecurity Training Module Sessions" on 10 May 2024 in Kos, Greece. The four sessions focus on enhancing cybersecurity measures within specific sectors (energy and health) through various specialised training modules within the NERO project. Distinguished partners, including Paresh Rathod (trustilio), Christos  Douligeris, and Dimitris Koutras (University of Piraeus), will be present in the following training modules, aiming to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and strengthen defenses against cyber threats, ultimately fostering a secure and resilient organisational environment

  • CSP Training Module 1 - Human Factors and Cybersecurity in the Energy Sector (8:30 - 10:00): Understanding human vulnerabilities and fostering a cybersecurity-aware culture in energy organisations through insights into psychological, social, and organisational influences.

  • CSP Training Module 3 - Digital Forensics in the Health Sector (12:45 - 14:15): Empowering participants with forensic investigation techniques to protect patient information and enhance cybersecurity defenses in the healthcare sector.

  • CSP Training Module 4 - Penetration Testing in the Health Sector (14:15 - 16:15): Providing hands-on experience in red teaming methodologies to simulate real-world cyber attacks and strengthen cybersecurity defenses in healthcare infrastructure.

  • CSP Training Module 2 - Penetration Testing in the Energy Sector (16:25 - 17:25): Equipping cybersecurity professionals with foundational skills in binary analysis and exploitation to address vulnerabilities within the energy sector.
