NCC-CY Newsletter

We are pleased that the NERO project has been featured in the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre in Cyprus - NCC-CY’s September 2025 newsletter. The article highlights our contribution to the upcoming European Cybersecurity Skills Workshop, organised together with the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) projects NERO, CyberSynchrony, and CyberSecPro, taking place in Brussels on 20–21 November 2025.

This workshop focuses on strengthening collaboration and enhancing visibility around the implementation of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF). It brings together policymakers, industry leaders, educators, and experts to explore how Europe can close the cybersecurity skills gap, harmonise training approaches, and build a more resilient digital workforce.

NERO: Building Europe’s Cybersecurity Skills

The NERO project plays an active role in promoting the ECSF by integrating it into training activities, capacity-building initiatives, and stakeholder engagement efforts. By aligning educational programmes, professional development, and workforce strategies with the ECSF, NERO supports a unified understanding of cybersecurity roles and the competencies required for each—contributing to a stronger and more coordinated European cybersecurity skills ecosystem.

The full newsletter article provides an overview of the workshop’s objectives and agenda, insights into how ENISA and DEP projects are advancing the ECSF, the role of member states and stakeholders in supporting cybersecurity upskilling, and details on expected outcomes and next steps toward a unified European cybersecurity skills landscape.
